During their advocacy visit to Chile, the TDC experts had important meetings in the National Congress of Chile. The delegation met with the President of the Senate José García Ruminot and members of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Interparliamentary Affairs and Latin American Integration.

The meetings discussed topical issues related to the events in Ukraine. Our experts gave a detailed account of the course of events, the current situation and the challenges faced by Ukraine. Particular attention was paid to the humanitarian aspects of the situation, the need for international support and the possibilities of Chile’s involvement in humanitarian initiatives.
New mechanisms and areas of cooperation between Ukraine and Chile were discussed. Experts emphasized the importance of international solidarity and support in the face of Russia`s invasion, and outlined prospects for expanding bilateral relations.
The meeting was attended by the President of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Interparliamentary Affairs and Latin American Integration Vlado Mirosevic Verdugo, and members of the committee: Tomás De Rementería Venegas, Cristian Labbé Martínez, Diego Schalper Sepúlveda, Alexis Sepúlveda Soto.
We are grateful to our Chilean colleagues for the warm welcome and constructive dialog. We believe that our joint efforts will help to find effective solutions to support Ukraine and strengthen partnerships between our countries.
