On March 31, 2025, representatives of the Transatlantic Dialogue Center opened the first day of a Ukrainian civil society delegation’s visit to Latin America with an official meeting at the Buenos Aires City Legislature in Argentina. During the meeting, the delegation discussed the role of Ukrainian civil society in countering Russian aggression, the importance of international support for Ukraine, and opportunities to strengthen interregional dialogue.

The visit—carried out in conjunction with the Human Rights Center ZMINA—aims to strengthen communication and cooperation between Ukraine and Latin American countries in the context of Russia’s full-scale invasion. The delegation seeks to amplify Ukraine’s voice in the region, engage with political, media, and expert communities, and encourage greater interest in Ukraine’s political, social, and economic realities. Throughout the visit, the participants will hold meetings with local institutions, civil society organizations, and opinion leaders to promote fact-based dialogue and explore possibilities for future collaboration.

This initiative represents an important step toward expanding global solidarity, deepening intercontinental cooperation, and promoting democratic values and human rights.
