Universidad de Palermo: open lecture “Ukraine at the Crossroads”

The Bachelor of International Relations and Political Science at the University of Palermo organized an open lecture “Ukraine at the Crossroads” with the participation of Oleksandr Slyvchuk and Alina Rohach, two experts from the Transatlantic Dialogue Center. Former Argentine Ambassador to Ukraine Alberto Jose Alonso also shared his conclusions. The discussion was moderated by Julian Schwindlerman, Professor of International Relations at the University of Palermo and Visiting Professor at the Hebrew University of Mexico.

The lecture with TDC analysts was dedicated to an in-depth analysis of the events in Ukraine as a result of the Russian invasion. During this presentation, participants were able to get a comprehensive overview of the situation and understand the key challenges facing Ukraine.

TDC analysts provided a detailed account of the events in Ukraine, highlighting important aspects of the Russian invasion. They emphasized the most pressing challenges facing Ukraine and demonstrated the consequences of Russia’s aggressive actions. They particularly emphasized the humanitarian disasters, the destruction of infrastructure and the economic difficulties that have arisen as a result of the war.

The lecture became an important source of knowledge for the students, helping them to better understand the difficult situation in Ukraine and its global implications. Participants expressed hope that such educational events would help raise awareness among young people and increase their participation in supporting Ukraine in the international arena.

TDC is implementing the project with the support of the International Renaissance Foundation.
