TDC and Chilean Youth: Dialogue on Ukraine at the Universidad de Desarrollo

Recently, the team of TDC’s Cooperation with Spain and Latin America Program held an important lecture for students of the Universidad de Desarrollo in Chile. The event was devoted to topical issues, including the nature of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the peculiarities of Ukrainian society during the war, and the main socio-political processes taking place in the country.

The lecture was moderated by a well-known Chilean blogger and influencer Juan Vallejos Croquevielle, whose presence added additional interest and engagement to the event.

The lecture was aimed at providing students with a deeper understanding of the complex geopolitical realities facing Ukraine, as well as revealing the social and political aspects that define the lives of Ukrainians in wartime. The TDC speakers, Alina Rohach and Oleksandr Slyvchuk, provided an in-depth look at the historical background of the conflict, its international implications, and how the war is affecting various spheres of life in Ukraine.

The participation of students in such events not only contributes to their personal development, but also helps to form conscious and responsible citizens ready to actively participate in global processes. Young people showed considerable awareness and interest in the topic, which emphasizes the importance of such educational initiatives.

We are sincerely grateful to the students and teachers of the Universidad de Desarrollo for their warm welcome and active participation in the event.

TDC is implementing the project with the support of the International Renaissance Foundation.
