In the city of Malyn, Zhytomyr region russian air strike destroyed 7 private one-storey residential building and killed 5 people, including 2 children born in 2021, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

The occupying forces forced the leadership of the captured Zaporizhzhya NPP to record an address that is going to be used for propaganda purposes.  ZNPP employees have been held hostage for 4 days.  They are physically and psychologically exhausted.  Inside the station are about 500 Russian soldiers and 50 units of heavy equipment.

 “We call on our international partners to take all measures to ban hostilities around nuclear power plants, withdraw occupation forces from captured nuclear facilities and close the skies over Ukraine,” Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko said on Facebook.

In Okhtyrka, Sumy region, for almost two hours in a row, Russian troops bombed and fired on civilian infrastructure, said the head of the regional state administration Dmitry Zhyvytsky.

 The railway station, the building of the executive committee, the local history museum, a department store and all trade premises were completely destroyed, many people were injured, not all were found.  The thermal power plant has been shut down, there is no electricity, the sewer collector has been destroyed, there is no water supply, many electricity poles have been destroyed, says Okhtyrka Mayor Pavlo Kuzmenko.

 As a result of shelling by the occupiers of civilian infrastructure, 1 person was killed and 14 others were injured.  However, the figures are not final, while it is difficult to count the victims, not everyone was found, according to the head of the regional state administration Dmytro Zhyvytskyi.

Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights reports that as of March 8 among civilians in Ukraine there are 1335 victims of the Russian attack, including 474 killed (97 men, 54 women, 8 boys and 4 girls, as well as 17 children and  294 adults whose sex is still unknown).  A total of 861 were injured (76 men, 55 women, 11 girls and 3 boys, as well as 30 children and 686 adults, whose sex is still unknown).  There are 545 victims (96 dead and 449 wounded) in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts. There are 409 victims (72 dead and 337 wounded) in the government-controlled area.

In the Kharkiv region, the occupiers dropped at least 3 unguided bombs on the small village of Dinets in the Slobozhansk community during an air raid.  One of them hit the foundation of a two-story private house on Didenko Street.

The Russian army attacked Severodonetsk. There are  dead, a lot of houses were destroyed.

 “The Russian army continues to shoot residential areas of our cities. Severodonetsk only has suffered three massive shellings in 24 hours,” the head of the OVA said.

 In Severodonetsk, the Russian army opened fire on residential buildings and structures in the city, including a kindergarten, a shop, and a gas station.  The bodies of seven victims, including one woman, were found dead on the street on March 8 by Russians on International Women’s Day.  Ten people were injured.

As a result of air strike on March 8 in a hostel in Zhytomyr one person was lost, two rescued were injured.  Later a fire broke out on the territory of the dormitory.  Rescuers are currently continuing to extinguish individual cells on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the dormitory.  They provide assistance to residents in evacuating property from the surviving premises.

Mariupol has been surrounded, isolated and bombarded by russian military for 9 days.  Humanitarian corridors have been disrupted due to shelling by the occupiers for 4 days in a row.  The situation in the city is critical and on the verge of a humanitarian catastrophe.  We add an eyewitness comment:

 “Everything is very bad in Mariupol.  All the green corridors have been torn down, there is no water or food.  People drink technical water, people just die of dehydration. They are sitting in the bunker, all vomiting from an infection that probably comes from the technical water they are drink.    All humanitarian convoys heading to Mariupol are shelled by the Russian military.  The corpses of people are just lying on the street, there is no one to remove them.  This is genocide. “

The occupiers opened fire during the evacuation of people in the Kyiv region.

In the Kyiv region, Russian soldiers opened fire during the evacuation of civilians from Demidov. One policeman was killed, while two others were seriously wounded, the police of the Kyiv region reported.

Chernobyl nuclear power plant and other objects will be connected to backup diesel generators. They were deprived of electricity. However, they will work only 48 hours. Afterward, the emissions of radiation are predicted.

The statement was issued by the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba. In accordance with him, the single power supply line of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant was damaged as well as its nuclear facilities.

“I’m calling on the entire international colleagues to immediately insist on russia to cease fire and allow repair crews to restore electricity as soon as possible.”

As reported by Mariupol City Council, Russian occupiers dropped several bombs on a children’s hospital in Mariupol. Hospital is completely wiped out. Info about the affected children is being clarified.

The head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Pavlo Kyrylenko also said that occupiers had attacked the maternity hospital, in particular, babies’ wards: “The maternity hospital in the city center, the children’s wards, therapeutical department — all these objects are severely damaged during air bombardment on Mariupol. Literally, it just has happened. A Russian soldier clicked on the hook. He, maybe, does not ashamed to call himself a human. He knew exactly where the bomb would aim. Russians! You have not only crossed the line of unacceptable relationships between states and peoples, but also crossed the line of humanity. Stop calling yourself a human creature!”

Russian occupation forces disrupted the evacuation of civilians from Bucha and Gostomel again. They blocked the driveway. This was reported by the Bucha City Council

“It is impossible to evacuate residents from Bucha and Gostomel today. It was not possible to reach an agreement with the occupiers: 50 buses remain blocked.”

Senior Adviser to the mayor of Mariupol Sergei Orlov reports that during the blockade of Mariupol by the Russian occupiers were killed about 1,300 civilians. To date, 47 people have been buried.

Air bombardment in Zhytomyr: windows were smashed in one of the buildings of the city hospital. The windows of the children’s hospital were also broken. No one was injured or killed in hospitals.
