Iuliia Tsyrfa
Iuliia Tsyrfa is a Ukrainian political scientist and specialist in international relations, a Ph.D. in Political Science, and a Visiting Fellow at the Transatlantic Dialogue Center. Her research interests focus on the foreign policy identities of states in the world, their strategic cultures and memory policies.
She currently works as an Associate Professor at the Chair of International Regional Studies of the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, while combining teaching activities with the international cooperation as the Director of the Centre for ASEAN Countries Studies and the Deputy Managing Editor of the Collection of Scientific Papers ‘Bulletin of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv International Relations Series’. Her courses are centered on the foreign policies and international relations of the North American and European countries, including their foreign policy identification and strategic positioning at the global level.
Before joining the Center, she worked at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, as well as built her career as a journalist being the Member of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine.
She is the author of more than 100 academic publications, presented in scientific journals in Ukraine, Poland, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Nigeria, Germany, Romania, etc.
She holds a Ph.D. in Political Science obtained in the Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (2014), as well as a Master in International Relations (2010) and a Master in International Law (2013) from the same institution. She holds a Master in Public Administration from the National Academy for Public Administration under the President of Ukraine (2018) and also owns the academic rank of the Associate Professor at the Chair of International Regional Studies of the Educational and Scientific Institute of International Relations of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (2022).
Iuliia Tsyrfa is fluent in Ukrainian (mother tongue) and English, and has a basic understanding of German.
