TDC Coordinator of the EU–Ukraine Program Speaks at Roundtable “Ukraine–EU Integration”

Our Coordinator of the EU–Ukraine Partnership Program, Marianna Fakhurdinova, took part in a roundtable discussion on Ukraine’s EU accession path, hosted by the Stockholm Institute of Transition Economics (SITE) and the Nordic Ukraine Forum. The event brought together policymakers, researchers, and civil society representatives from Ukraine and Sweden to discuss institutional reforms, economic integration, and the green transition as part of Ukraine’s alignment with EU norms.

As a speaker in Panel 1, titled “Aligning Institutions: Ukraine’s Political and Legal Adaptation to EU Norms,” Marianna addressed key political roadblocks to Ukraine’s accession. In her intervention, she outlined concrete steps forward — including tackling Hungary’s vetoes, enhancing EU–Ukraine defense cooperation, and reforming the EU’s decision-making processes.

Her contribution provided valuable insights into the political dynamics shaping Ukraine’s EU integration and the broader future of the European Union.
