The voice of Ukraine was heard in the heart of Argentina, thanks to a series of TDC presentations for students of two prominent universities: Universidad Abierta Interamericana (UAI) and Universidad Siglo21. The presentations of Oleksandr Slyvchuk and Alina Rohach focused on the key events of Russia’s war against Ukraine, war crimes committed by the Russian Federation, the Peace Formula of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi, and the prospects for the development of Ukraine’s relations with Latin America, including Argentina.
The events in Ukraine affect all parts of the world, and the students of Argentina did not stand aside. The presentation highlighted not only the political aspect of the war, but also its impact on the economy, society, global food security and the environment. The students showed great interest and activity while listening to the report from TDC experts.
After the presentation, the participants had the opportunity to exchange views and impressions with the experts, which created an atmosphere of openness and mutual understanding, contributing to the deepening of knowledge and awareness of the importance of joint efforts in the fight for freedom and human rights. This demonstrates the students’ deep interest in global issues and their desire to understand and help.
The final point was a call to action for students not only to be informed about the war in Ukraine, but also to contribute to international initiatives aimed at supporting Ukraine.
The TDC presentations were not only a source of information, but also a step towards building a bridge of understanding and support between geographically distant countries. Students from Argentina showed that neither national borders nor distance can prevent the spread of a spirit of solidarity and understanding in a global society.
TDC is implementing the project with the support of the International Renaissance Foundation.
