Софія Романів
Софія Романів is an Analyst of the German-Ukrainian Partnership Programme at the Transatlantic Dialogue Centre. She focuses on German-Ukrainian relations, European integration and security cooperation in Central and Eastern Europe. Her research interests include EU and NATO policy towards Ukraine, the transformation of German, Polish and Slovak foreign policy, energy security, and social policy towards Ukrainian refugees and populism in European politics
Before joining the Centre, she collaborated with the European Studies programme at Foreign Policy Council Ukrainian Prism, where she contributed to research on EU foreign policy and regional cooperation. She then worked as an analyst intern at VoxUkraine, supporting data-driven policy analysis and media projects. She has also worked as a grant manager, assisting NGOs and tech start-ups in designing and preparing applications for international funding programmes.
Sofiia lived in Germany, where she studied under Erasmus+ programmes at Freie Universität Berlin and Universität Leipzig. Sofiia holds a BA in International Relations from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, and is currently studying for an MA in Public Policy and Governance at the Kyiv School of Economics.
She speaks Ukrainian, English, German and Spanish.
