Маріанна Фахурдінова
Маріанна Фахурдінова is the Coordinator of the EU–Ukraine Partnership Program at the Transatlantic Dialogue Center, where she oversees research and manages projects on EU-Ukraine relations and transatlantic security, as well as coordinates advocacy visits to key European capitals. She also serves as a Позаштатний експерт at the Center for European Policy Analysis (USA).
Marianna’s research interests include European security, Ukraine’s EU and NATO integration, transatlantic defense cooperation, military support of Ukraine.
Her research and commentary have appeared in leading outlets such as The Washington Post, Forbes, BBC London, Neue Zürcher Zeitung, EURACTIV, El Pais, RFI etc, as well as in publications from think tanks across Ukraine, the US, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic.
Before joining the Center, Marianna spent over 1,5 years in the US as a Fulbright Scholar, conducting research on military support to Ukraine at CEPA and the University of Southern California. She also worked in Europe, collaborating with leading think tanks the Stockholm Centre for Eastern European Studies (Sweden), ETH Zurich’s Center for Security Studies (Switzerland), New Europe Center (Ukraine). Marianna also completed an internship at the Embassy of Ukraine in Berlin.
Beyond research, Marianna is actively engaged in knowledge sharing. She teaches a proprietary course on NATO at the Kyiv School of Economics and, for four years, delivered lectures on EU as a Young European Ambassador within EU Neighbours East. She has also given guest lectures at the University of Surrey (UK), Justus Liebig University Giessen (Germany), the University of California, Los Angeles (USA), Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, and the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.
She holds an MA in European Studies and a BA in International Relations from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
She speaks Ukrainian, English and German.
