On 26 February 2026, Alina Rohach, Project Manager of the Spain and Latin America Cooperation Program at the Transatlantic Dialogue Center (TDC), and Bohdana Batsko, Project Assistant of the Spain and Latin America Cooperation Program at TDC, joined National Radio of Spain (RNE) for a conversation hosted by Carlos Núñez Sánchez.

During the discussion, Rohach and Batsko presented a Ukrainian civil society perspective on the current situation and shared reflections on peace prospects and possible pathways toward ending the war. They noted that expectations for a near-term breakthrough remain limited, as Russia continues to demonstrate a lack of genuine commitment to peace through its actions — including strikes on critical infrastructure and civilian cities even amid peace-related negotiations and diplomatic signalling.
A separate focus of the conversation addressed “the role of women and civil society during wartime” — including leadership, volunteer initiatives, support to victims, human rights advocacy, and community-level work that sustains resilience under prolonged pressure.
