On July 21, 2025, Alina Rohach, Project Manager of the Spain and Latin America Cooperation Program at the Transatlantic Dialogue Center, gave an exclusive interview to the Dominican media outlet Panorama. Speaking from Kyiv, Rohach provided an overview of Ukraine’s ongoing struggle against Russian aggression, the evolving nature of the war, and the role of international solidarity—particularly from Latin America. Despite enduring regular drone and missile attacks, Rohach emphasized that Ukraine continues to function. “Civil resistance is one of the clearest indicators of our national resilience,” she stated. “Even under constant pressure, Ukrainian society refuses to collapse.”

TDC expert also addressed the diplomatic and geopolitical context, warning that no negotiations should occur without Ukraine’s direct involvement. She expressed concern over external proposals for a quick resolution that could compromise Ukrainian sovereignty, particularly in light of shifting U.S. political dynamics. Calling on Latin American nations to support Ukraine through humanitarian and economic means, she stressed that a lasting peace must include justice, the return of deported civilians, and firm international guarantees.
