Alina Rohach, an analyst at the Transatlantic Dialogue Center, gave an interview to the Paraguayan media \u00daltima Hora, in which she discussed the most relevant aspects of the war in Ukraine and the role of the international community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alina Rohach stressed that international military support is essential for the defence of Ukraine and the expulsion of the Russian invader. She stressed that Ukraine needs weapons only to protect its territory and independence, not to attack other states. Despite having a peace plan based on international law and a willingness to negotiate, she pointed out that Russia continues to violate these norms and commit war crimes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The analyst noted that although several Latin American countries support Ukraine in UN resolutions, many maintain economic ties with Russia and avoid applying sanctions. She emphasised that Ukraine seeks greater participation in the implementation of its peace formula; humanitarian collaboration, especially in the return of abducted Ukrainian children; and the adoption of economic sanctions policies against Russia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alina Rohach stressed that greater Latin American involvement would increase international pressure on the aggressor and help accelerate the end of the conflict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She also highlighted the unity of the Ukrainian people, the Parliament and the President in the struggle for sovereignty. She noted that the polls reflect a strong commitment of Ukrainians to resistance and victory in the face of Russian aggression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
