On May 17, 2024, the Sociological Group Rating and the Transatlantic Dialogue Center hosted a pivotal presentation event focused on the analysis and discussion of a quantitative survey conducted using the Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) method. This survey targeted the residents of the Kharkiv and Kherson oblasts of Ukraine, aiming to gather firsthand information on the reintegration process of the de-occupied regions. The goal was to assess the successes of the reintegration efforts and identify areas that require further improvements.<\/p>\n\n\n

Tetiana Skrypchenko, the research coordinator, and Hlib Kuzmenko, an analyst of the Sociological Group Rating, provided in-depth insights into various topics based on the survey results. Their presentation covered the topics of confidence in institutions, the needs of community residents, views on humanitarian assistance, the process of reconstruction and restoration of social spheres, and social cohesion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Experts from the Transatlantic Dialogue Center, including Anna Rudenko, Daryna Sydorenko, and Alina Horbenko, compared the quantitative survey results with previously collected data from expert interviews. This comparative analysis revealed that the survey findings were consistent with the testimonies of local experts, representatives of local authorities, NGOs, and activists. This consistency underscores the high quality and reliability of the survey data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The alignment between the survey results and the expert testimonies highlights the robustness of the data, offering a solid foundation for future policy recommendations and actions. The event emphasized the importance of ongoing dialogue and collaboration between researchers, local authorities, and the community to ensure the continued success of reintegration efforts. By identifying both the successes and the areas needing improvement, stakeholders can better allocate resources and strategies to support the residents of Kharkiv and Kherson oblasts in their journey towards full reintegration.<\/p>\n\n\n
