At the same time, aggravated rhetoric before the war about the <strong>menace imaginaire de l\u2019OTAN<\/strong>, America and Ukraine, which wants to cooperate with them, has caused an even greater split in the Russians&#8217; perception of the West. During the war against Ukraine with allegedly &#8220;<strong>bases am\u00e9ricaines<\/strong>&#8221; according to Russian propaganda, the United States <strong>s\u2019imposent plus encore comme l\u2019ennemi des occupants<\/strong>. En outre, la pauvret\u00e9 des Russes a toujours \u00e9t\u00e9 imput\u00e9e au spectre de l\u2019Am\u00e9rique ; ils voient donc \u00e9galement une empreinte am\u00e9ricaine dans la guerre contre l\u2019Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"385\" height=\"265\" src=\"https:\/\/tdcenter.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-6.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5492\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tdcenter.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-6.png 385w, https:\/\/tdcenter.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-6-18x12.png 18w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 385px) 100vw, 385px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Selon le sondage du Centre Levada r\u00e9alis\u00e9 apr\u00e8s le d\u00e9but de la guerre, <strong>une majorit\u00e9 absolue de Russes (72%) avaient une opinion d\u00e9favorable des \u00c9tats-Unis<\/strong> et seuls 17% en avaient une opinion positive, contre un tiers en f\u00e9vrier, tandis qu\u2019un peu plus de la moiti\u00e9 en avait une opinion n\u00e9gative. Toutefois, le basculement vers une opinion n\u00e9gative ne s\u2019explique pas uniquement par l\u2019abandon d\u2019une opinion positive. Certains ne savaient auparavant pas se prononcer ; ils \u00e9taient 13%, mais ne sont d\u00e9sormais plus que 1%. Ainsi, la majorit\u00e9 des personnes apolitiques <strong>qui ne voulaient pas s\u2019exprimer auparavant consid\u00e8rent d\u00e9sormais \u00e9galement les \u00c9tats-Unis comme un ennemi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">L\u2019<strong>image du leadership mondial est tr\u00e8s d\u00e9form\u00e9e <\/strong>aux yeux des Russes \u00e0 l\u2019heure actuelle. Par exemple<strong>, 29% d\u2019entre eux estiment que la Russie est tr\u00e8s respect\u00e9e <\/strong>dans le monde, et 37% pensent qu\u2019elle est plut\u00f4t respect\u00e9e. Pourtant,<strong> plus de la moiti\u00e9 d\u2019entre eux sont convaincus que les \u00c9tats-Unis ne sont pas respect\u00e9s dans le monde<\/strong>, et, paradoxalement, cette opinion coexiste dans la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 avec la conviction que les \u00c9tats-Unis exercent une influence sur la plupart des pays, des entreprises et m\u00eame sur leurs salaires.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"260\" height=\"186\" src=\"https:\/\/tdcenter.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-7.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5493\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tdcenter.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-7.png 260w, https:\/\/tdcenter.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-7-18x12.png 18w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 260px) 100vw, 260px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Il en va de m\u00eame pour les responsables politiques. Par exemple, <strong>Scholz et Macron<\/strong>, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 leur plus grande loyaut\u00e9 envers Poutine et \u00e0 leurs relations commerciales, sont toujours respect\u00e9s en Russie, <strong>tandis que Biden et Zelensky sont consid\u00e9r\u00e9s comme hostiles par plus de 80% des Russes<\/strong>. In Ukraine, this attitude is treated as an honour, so respect towards German and French leadership expressed by the hostile nation reveals a lack of their full support for Ukraine. It is not surprising that Russia creates &#8220;<strong>Putin&#8217;s troops<\/strong>&#8221; of impoverished grandmothers who hate Biden and blame him for all the troubles of their unhappy old age.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">En revanche, peu de dirigeants politiques inspirent un respect total aux Russes : outre Poutine, c\u2019est aussi le cas du pr\u00e9sident autoproclam\u00e9 du B\u00e9larus, pays politiquement occup\u00e9, <strong>Loukachenko<\/strong>, ainsi que <strong>Xi Jinping<\/strong> respect\u00e9 par une majorit\u00e9 absolue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Selon 62% des Russes, leur \u00c9tat devrait limiter l\u2019influence des \u00c9tats-Unis par tous les moyens, et <strong>seuls 30% estiment qu\u2019il est n\u00e9cessaire de laisser ouvertes les voies de coop\u00e9ration<\/strong>. Auparavant, 38% jugeaient pr\u00e9f\u00e9rable de rester ouverts \u00e0 la coop\u00e9ration. L\u2019\u00e9volution n\u2019est donc pas tr\u00e8s rapide, mais la tendance est \u00e0 la baisse. En outre, <strong>m\u00eame au sein de la g\u00e9n\u00e9ration la plus jeune<\/strong> (18-24-year olds or the so-called Generation Z who grew up on American comedies and are very sorry about the closure of McDonald&#8217;s), the opinion that cooperation with the United States should be limited is supported by 56%, and only a little more than a third of them support cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"454\" height=\"328\" src=\"https:\/\/tdcenter.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-8.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5494\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tdcenter.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-8.png 454w, https:\/\/tdcenter.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-8-18x12.png 18w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 454px) 100vw, 454px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>L\u2019opinion concernant le danger que repr\u00e9sentent les forces militaires des \u00c9tats-Unis \u00e9volue tr\u00e8s rapidement<\/strong>. Aujourd\u2019hui, 58% des Russes estiment que ces forces sont tr\u00e8s dangereuses pour la Russie, contre 35% les ann\u00e9es pr\u00e9c\u00e9dentes. Ce r\u00e9cit est largement diffus\u00e9 dans les m\u00e9dias et sert de pr\u00e9texte fallacieux \u00e0 l\u2019invasion de l\u2019Ukraine. Ces craintes n\u2019ont aucun fondement rationnel ; il s\u2019agit simplement d\u2019un argument commode pour justifier l\u2019invasion, ancr\u00e9 depuis des ann\u00e9es dans l\u2019opinion publique russe et qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 tr\u00e8s facile \u00e0 imposer \u00e0 la soci\u00e9t\u00e9. <strong>Il en va de m\u00eame pour l\u2019OTAN en tant qu\u2019alliance : 56% sont certains qu\u2019elle est tr\u00e8s dangereuse pour la Russie<\/strong>, alors qu\u2019auparavant seul un quart la percevait avec une telle acuit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dans le m\u00eame temps, les Russes continuent <strong>de ne pas croire qu\u2019ils sont les ennemis du monde, en particulier dans le contexte europ\u00e9en<\/strong>: both in the case of less scepticism about EU leaders and perception of Russia&#8217;s place in Europe. For example, <strong>64% pensent toujours que la Russie faisait et fait toujours partie de l\u2019Europe, soit un pourcentage presque identique \u00e0 celui d\u2019avant <\/strong>(in 2016 it was 68%). Moreover, the number of those who are sure of this even slightly increased. Therefore, Russia&#8217;s economic integration in Europe has not yet lost its last strings, while paradoxical hatred towards the West and simultaneous willingness to consider itself a world leader are combined in Russian public opinion. Many Russians live in Germany, receive European salaries and, at the same time, go by German cars to marches in support of the USSR and Russia.
