Pour lui, le Donbass n\u2019est pas seulement un territoire \u2014 il est le c\u0153ur id\u00e9ologique, historique et psychologique de sa guerre \u00bb, d\u00e9clare Chebotarov.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Il explique que, pour Poutine, le Donbass est devenu le symbole central du \u00ab Monde russe \u00bb \u2014 le mythe selon lequel les Russes, les Ukrainiens et les Bi\u00e9lorusses forment une seule nation historique, injustement divis\u00e9e par l\u2019Occident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u00ab Se retirer du Donbass reviendrait \u00e0 reconna\u00eetre que l\u2019Ukraine existe en tant que nation souveraine et distincte \u2014 une r\u00e9alit\u00e9 qui sape toute sa vision du monde. \u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Chebotarov d\u00e9taille \u00e9galement la dimension militaire de la r\u00e9gion :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u00ab Depuis 2014, Kyiv a transform\u00e9 l\u2019axe occidental de Donetsk en une ceinture d\u00e9fensive multicouche longue de 50 kilom\u00e8tres, compos\u00e9e de tranch\u00e9es, de champs de mines et de fortifications.
