Les principales raisons \u00e0 l\u2019origine de cette tendance comprennent notamment les suivantes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>&nbsp;<strong>L\u2019Ukraine se bat pour les valeurs d\u00e9mocratiques et la libert\u00e9.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Il y a un an, le pr\u00e9sident am\u00e9ricain Joe Biden a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que le monde \u00e9tait alors confront\u00e9 \u00e0 une lutte entre d\u00e9mocraties et autocraties. L\u2019Ukraine est devenue le premier champ de bataille concret de cette confrontation. Et c\u2019est l\u2019Ukraine qui apporte la preuve la plus manifeste de sa d\u00e9termination \u00e0 lutter pour sa libert\u00e9 et sa d\u00e9mocratie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La d\u00e9faite de l\u2019Ukraine impliquerait non seulement la perte d\u2019un partenaire et alli\u00e9 strat\u00e9gique, mais d\u00e9montrerait aussi l\u2019incapacit\u00e9 de l\u2019Occident \u00e0 prot\u00e9ger les valeurs qu\u2019il proclame, affaiblissant ainsi sa lutte sur le front id\u00e9ologique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>&nbsp;<strong>Poutine ne s\u2019arr\u00eatera pas s\u2019il obtient ce qu\u2019il veut en Ukraine.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les Russes comprennent que leurs actions violent l\u2019ordre mondial \u00e9tabli il y a trois d\u00e9cennies et tentent d\u00e9lib\u00e9r\u00e9ment de le modifier pour satisfaire leurs aspirations r\u00e9visionnistes. Les sondages d\u2019opinion aupr\u00e8s de la population russe montrent, au cours des cinq derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, les niveaux de soutien les plus \u00e9lev\u00e9s aux actions de leur gouvernement, en particulier \u00e0 la guerre en Ukraine. De m\u00eame, les Russes ordinaires reprennent rapidement les slogans de propagande sur les \u00ab menaces \u00bb contre la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 nationale russe et la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de se d\u00e9fendre contre l\u2019OTAN, admettant qu\u2019une frappe pr\u00e9ventive contre des pays europ\u00e9ens pourrait \u00eatre n\u00e9cessaire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00c0 moins que Poutine ne voie une r\u00e9ponse d\u00e9cisive \u00e0 ses crimes, il y verra une faiblesse des puissances occidentales, et les Russes ne tarderont pas \u00e0 trouver un autre pr\u00e9texte pour envahir les \u00c9tats baltes ou la Pologne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>Les dirigeants occidentaux qui soutiennent l\u2019Ukraine gagnent en r\u00e9putation<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La couverture m\u00e9diatique actuelle des atrocit\u00e9s commises par les soldats russes suscite une forte sympathie envers les Ukrainiens parmi la population de la plupart des pays occidentaux. \u00c0 l\u2019inverse de ceux r\u00e9alis\u00e9s en Russie, les r\u00e9cents sondages d\u2019opinion men\u00e9s en Europe et aux \u00c9tats-Unis ont montr\u00e9 un niveau de soutien in\u00e9dit \u00e0 l\u2019Ukraine, et sept Am\u00e9ricains sur dix d\u00e9clarent faire confiance \u00e0 son pr\u00e9sident Zelensky.
