On 5 March 2026 in Mexico City, the Transatlantic Dialogue Center (TDC) and the International Renaissance Foundation (IRF) held a roundtable with the Mexican Council on Foreign Relations (COMEXI) to exchange views on Russia\u2019s war against Ukraine and its implications for international security and the international order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ukrainian delegation included Oleksandr Slyvchuk, Alina Rohach, Bohdana Batsko (TDC), and Olha Kvashuk (IRF). The discussion also featured five experts affiliated with COMEXI: Alejandra L\u00f3pez de Alba G\u00f3mez, M\u00f3nica Laborda, Beata Wojna, Fernando Villar Montekio, and Javier Jileta-Okholm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The roundtable covered areas of shared interest, the geopolitical significance of the war, Europe\u2019s energy situation and its broader implications, the importance of U.S. support for Ukraine and European security, and challenges related to holding elections in Ukraine during wartime. Participants also discussed the situation in the Middle East and its impact on global dynamics, the state of Ukrainian society after four years of full-scale war, and reflections on the peace process and the role Mexico and Latin America can play in responding to this conflict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
