At the same time, aggravated rhetoric before the war about the <strong>eingebildete Gefahr durch die NATO<\/strong>, America and Ukraine, which wants to cooperate with them, has caused an even greater split in the Russians&#8217; perception of the West. During the war against Ukraine with allegedly &#8220;<strong>amerikanischen St\u00fctzpunkten<\/strong>&#8221; according to Russian propaganda, the United States <strong>f\u00fcr die Besatzer noch st\u00e4rker als Feind heraus<\/strong>. Au\u00dferdem wurde ein gespenstisches Amerika stets f\u00fcr die Armut der Russen verantwortlich gemacht, weshalb sie auch im Krieg gegen die Ukraine eine amerikanische Spur sehen.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"385\" height=\"265\" src=\"https:\/\/tdcenter.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-6.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5492\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tdcenter.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-6.png 385w, https:\/\/tdcenter.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-6-18x12.png 18w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 385px) 100vw, 385px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Laut einer Umfrage des Lewada-Zentrums nach Kriegsbeginn <strong>hatte eine absolute Mehrheit der Russen (72%) eine negative Einstellung zu den Vereinigten Staaten<\/strong> und nur 17% stehen ihnen positiv gegen\u00fcber, w\u00e4hrend im Februar ein Drittel positiv eingestellt war und etwas mehr als die H\u00e4lfte negative Gef\u00fchle hegte. Der \u00dcbergang zu einer negativen Haltung erfolgte jedoch nicht nur aus einer positiven heraus. Einige konnten ihre Haltung zuvor nicht einsch\u00e4tzen, und nun haben sich nur 1% der 13% noch nicht entschieden. Somit sieht die Mehrheit der Unpolitischen, <strong>die sich zuvor nicht \u00e4u\u00dfern wollten, die Vereinigten Staaten nun ebenfalls als Feind<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">Das <strong>Bild globaler F\u00fchrungsrolle ist f\u00fcr die Russen derzeit stark verzerrt <\/strong>\u2013 zum Beispiel<strong>: 29% von ihnen glauben, dass Russland hohes Ansehen genie\u00dft<\/strong>in der Welt, und 37% meinen, dass es eher Ansehen genie\u00dft. Dennoch<strong>sind mehr als die H\u00e4lfte \u00fcberzeugt, dass die Vereinigten Staaten in der Welt kein Ansehen genie\u00dfen<\/strong>, und paradoxerweise besteht diese Meinung in der Gesellschaft neben der \u00dcberzeugung, dass die Vereinigten Staaten die meisten L\u00e4nder, Unternehmen und sogar ihre Geh\u00e4lter beeinflussen.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"260\" height=\"186\" src=\"https:\/\/tdcenter.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-7.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5493\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tdcenter.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-7.png 260w, https:\/\/tdcenter.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-7-18x12.png 18w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 260px) 100vw, 260px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dasselbe gilt f\u00fcr Politiker. So werden <strong>Scholz und Macron<\/strong>aufgrund ihrer gr\u00f6\u00dferen Loyalit\u00e4t gegen\u00fcber Putin und der Handelsbeziehungen in Russland weiterhin respektiert, <strong>w\u00e4hrend Biden und Selenskyj von mehr als 80% der Russen als feindlich angesehen werden<\/strong>. In Ukraine, this attitude is treated as an honour, so respect towards German and French leadership expressed by the hostile nation reveals a lack of their full support for Ukraine. It is not surprising that Russia creates &#8220;<strong>Putin&#8217;s troops<\/strong>&#8221; of impoverished grandmothers who hate Biden and blame him for all the troubles of their unhappy old age.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">Dagegen gibt es nicht viele politische F\u00fchrer, die bei den Russen uneingeschr\u00e4nktes Ansehen genie\u00dfen: Neben Putin ist dies der selbsternannte Pr\u00e4sident des politisch besetzten Belarus, <strong>Lukaschenko<\/strong>, sowie <strong>Xi Jinping<\/strong>, der von einer absoluten Mehrheit respektiert wird.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nach Ansicht von 62% der Russen sollte ihr Staat den Einfluss der USA mit allen Mitteln begrenzen, und <strong>nur 30% glauben, dass Wege zur Zusammenarbeit offengehalten werden m\u00fcssen<\/strong>. Zuvor hielten 38% es f\u00fcr besser, f\u00fcr Zusammenarbeit offen zu sein. Die Entwicklung ist hier also nicht so schnell, verl\u00e4uft aber abw\u00e4rts. Dar\u00fcber hinaus <strong>selbst in der j\u00fcngsten Generation<\/strong> (18-24-year olds or the so-called Generation Z who grew up on American comedies and are very sorry about the closure of McDonald&#8217;s), the opinion that cooperation with the United States should be limited is supported by 56%, and only a little more than a third of them support cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"454\" height=\"328\" src=\"https:\/\/tdcenter.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-8.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5494\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tdcenter.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-8.png 454w, https:\/\/tdcenter.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-8-18x12.png 18w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 454px) 100vw, 454px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Die Entwicklung der Vorstellungen \u00fcber die Gefahren der US-Milit\u00e4rmacht ist deutlich rasanter<\/strong>. Nun glauben 58% der Russen, dass diese Kr\u00e4fte f\u00fcr Russland sehr gef\u00e4hrlich seien, w\u00e4hrend es in den Vorjahren 35% waren. Dieses Narrativ ist in den Medien weit verbreitet und dient als gespenstischer Vorwand f\u00fcr die Invasion der Ukraine. Solche \u00c4ngste haben keine rationale Grundlage; sie sind lediglich eine bequeme Rechtfertigungsbotschaft f\u00fcr die Invasion, die \u00fcber Jahre in die \u00f6ffentliche Meinung Russlands eingebettet wurde und der Gesellschaft sehr leicht aufgezwungen werden konnte. <strong>Dasselbe gilt f\u00fcr die NATO als B\u00fcndnis: 56% sind \u00fcberzeugt, dass sie f\u00fcr Russland sehr gef\u00e4hrlich ist<\/strong>, w\u00e4hrend dies zuvor ein Viertel so deutlich wahrnahm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gleichzeitig glauben die Russen weiterhin <strong>nicht, dass sie Feinde der Welt sind, insbesondere im europ\u00e4ischen Kontext<\/strong>: both in the case of less scepticism about EU leaders and perception of Russia&#8217;s place in Europe. For example, <strong>glauben 64% weiterhin, dass Russland Teil Europas war und bleibt; dies ist fast derselbe Anteil wie zuvor <\/strong>(in 2016 it was 68%). Moreover, the number of those who are sure of this even slightly increased. Therefore, Russia&#8217;s economic integration in Europe has not yet lost its last strings, while paradoxical hatred towards the West and simultaneous willingness to consider itself a world leader are combined in Russian public opinion. Many Russians live in Germany, receive European salaries and, at the same time, go by German cars to marches in support of the USSR and Russia.
