Sie verweist auf den russischen Angriff vom 28. August, bei dem mehr als 60.000 B\u00fccher von \u00fcber zehn ukrainischen Verlagen und Buchhandlungen verbrannten, die in einem einzigen Lagerhaus aufbewahrt wurden. Dies war ein Angriff auf das ukrainische Wort und auf die Voraussetzungen daf\u00fcr, als Ukrainerinnen und Ukrainer frei leben zu k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\"><strong>Batsko<\/strong> unterstreicht das beispiellose Ausma\u00df der kulturellen Zerst\u00f6rung. Nach Angaben des ukrainischen Verlegerverbands wurden allein im Sommer 2026 durch russische Angriffe <strong>rund 13 Millionen B\u00fccher vernichtet<\/strong>, darunter Hunderttausende Schulb\u00fccher. Der entstandene Schaden bel\u00e4uft sich auf mehr als <strong>20 Millionen US-Dollar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">Der Gastbeitrag erkl\u00e4rt au\u00dferdem, warum Angriffe auf das Verlagswesen zugleich Angriffe auf Identit\u00e4t und Souver\u00e4nit\u00e4t sind. In einem existenziellen Krieg \u00fcbernehmen ukrainische Verlage eine <strong>kulturelle Funktion f\u00fcr den Staat<\/strong>: Sie bewahren die nationale Identit\u00e4t und ver\u00f6ffentlichen B\u00fccher, die w\u00e4hrend der russischen imperialen und sowjetischen Herrschaft verboten oder aus dem \u00f6ffentlichen Raum verdr\u00e4ngt wurden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\"><strong>Batsko<\/strong> zeigt, dass der kulturelle und wirtschaftliche Einfluss Russlands auch nach der Unabh\u00e4ngigkeit der Ukraine im Jahr 1991 in den ukrainischen Medien, in der Musik, im Fernsehen und auf dem Buchmarkt weiterhin stark pr\u00e4sent war. Heute, da sich die ukrainische Kultur <strong>eigenst\u00e4ndig entwickelt<\/strong> und international zunehmend an Sichtbarkeit gewinnt, setzt Russland auf physische Zerst\u00f6rung, um das zu treffen, was es mit den Mitteln der Soft Power nicht mehr kontrollieren kann.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">Abschlie\u00dfend betont <strong>Batsko<\/strong>, dass die Verantwortlichkeit f\u00fcr die Zerst\u00f6rung von Kultur zu einer rechtlichen Norm werden muss und nicht nur ein ethisches Prinzip bleiben darf.
