M\u00e4rz 2026 veranstaltete das Egmont-Institut gemeinsam mit dem Transatlantic Dialogue Center eine Pr\u00e4senzdiskussion in Br\u00fcssel, die der Sicherheitszusammenarbeit zwischen den USA, der EU und der Ukraine gewidmet war. Im Rahmen der Veranstaltung wurde zudem der neue Bericht des TDC mit dem Titel \u201e<a href=\"https:\/\/tdcenter.org\/2026\/03\/16\/navigating-the-us-eu-ukraine-triangle\/\" target=\"_self\">Das Dreieck \nUSA \u2013 EU \u2013 Ukraine\nnavigieren: Die transatlantische Sicherheitszusammenarbeit neu beleben<\/a>\u201c vorgestellt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An der Diskussion nahmen teil:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Marianna Fakhurdinova, Koordinatorin des EU-Ukraine-Partnerschaftsprogramms beim Transatlantic Dialogue Center und Fellow bei CEPA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dr. Giuseppe Spatafora, Forschungsanalystin am EU-Institut f\u00fcr Sicherheitsstudien (EUISS)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dr. Joris Van Bladel, Senior Associate Fellow beim Egmont \u2013 Royal Institute for International Relations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>W\u00e4hrend der Sitzung pr\u00e4sentierte Marianna Fakhurdinova die zentralen Ergebnisse des Berichts und erl\u00e4uterte, warum die transatlantische Sicherheitzusammenarbeit einen pragmatischeren \u201eDreiecksansatz\u201c erfordert, der die Ukraine als zentralen Akteur anerkennt, anstatt die Kooperation ausschlie\u00dflich durch die US\u2013EU-Perspektive zu betrachten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>Trotz des R\u00fcckzugs der USA aus ihrer traditionellen Rolle in der europ\u00e4ischen Sicherheitsarchitektur sowie der strukturellen Grenzen der strategischen Autonomie Europas k\u00f6nnen die EU, die Vereinigten Staaten und die Ukraine ihre Positionen auch in einem sich rasch verschlechternden Sicherheitsumfeld weiterhin aufeinander abstimmen.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"924\" src=\"https:\/\/tdcenter.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/cover_website-1-1024x924.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-35101\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.1082390953150243;width:440px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tdcenter.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/cover_website-1-1024x924.png 1024w, https:\/\/tdcenter.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/cover_website-1-600x542.png 600w, https:\/\/tdcenter.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/cover_website-1-768x693.png 768w, https:\/\/tdcenter.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/cover_website-1-13x12.png 13w, https:\/\/tdcenter.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/cover_website-1.png 1080w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>In dem Bericht wird dargelegt, dass es trotz der zunehmenden Verlagerung der strategischen Priorit\u00e4ten der Vereinigten Staaten weg von Europa nach wie vor im vitalen Interesse sowohl der Ukraine als auch der EU liegt, angesichts des anhaltenden Krieges Russlands den taktischen Dialog mit Washington aufrechtzuerhalten. Auf dieser Grundlage konzentrierte sich die Diskussion darauf, in welchen Bereichen die trilaterale Zusammenarbeit auch bei zunehmenden politischen und strategischen Meinungsverschiedenheiten weiterhin praxisnah und ergebnisorientiert gestaltet werden kann.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Giuseppe Spatafora und Dr. Joris Van Bladel brachten ihre Perspektiven zur sich wandelnden transatlantischen Lage ein, einschlie\u00dflich der Auswirkungen der ver\u00e4nderten US\u2013EU-Dynamik auf die europ\u00e4ische Sicherheit sowie der Notwendigkeit, tragf\u00e4hige Kooperationsformate zu identifizieren, die Abschreckung und langfristige Resilienz st\u00e4rken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Diskussion fand unter der Chatham-House-Regel statt, die einen offenen Austausch und eine aktive Beteiligung der Teilnehmenden f\u00f6rdert. Insgesamt unterstrich die Veranstaltung die Notwendigkeit, von einer allgemeinen Abstimmung zu einer pragmatischen trilateralen Zusammenarbeit \u00fcberzugehen, die die Verteidigung der Ukraine unterst\u00fctzt und die langfristige Sicherheit Europas st\u00e4rkt.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" translation-block\"><em>Der Bericht wurde vom Transatlantic Dialogue Center mit Unterst\u00fctzung des Askold and Dir Fund<\/em> <em>im Rahmen des Projekts \u201eStrong Civil Society of Ukraine \u2013 a Driver towards Reforms and Democracy\u201c erstellt, das von ISAR Ednannia umgesetzt und von Norwegen sowie Schweden finanziert wird.
