Er unterstrich, dass die transatlantische Koordination zur Ukraine voraussichtlich bestehen bleibt, solange die USA weiterhin Geheimdienstinformationen liefern und US-Waffensysteme bereitstellen, die von europ\u00e4ischen Verb\u00fcndeten finanziert werden. Zugleich warnte er, dass gr\u00f6\u00dfere neue Initiativen seitens der USA in naher Zukunft unwahrscheinlich seien.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" translation-block\">Au\u00dferdem hob er den geplanten Austausch von rund <em>500 Kriegsgefangenen<\/em> als eines der wenigen wirklich praktischen Ergebnisse der laufenden Ukraine\u2013Russland-Verhandlungen hervor. Da Berichten zufolge weiterhin \u00fcber 6.000 ukrainische Kriegsgefangene in russischer Haft sind und sich etwa 4.000 russische Kriegsgefangene in der Ukraine befinden, bestehe <em>Potenzial f\u00fcr weitere Austausche <\/em>\u2013 auch wenn umfassendere diplomatische Durchbr\u00fcche kurzfristig unwahrscheinlich bleiben.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" translation-block\">Mit Blick auf die europ\u00e4ische Perspektive der Ukraine stellte Rusyn klar, dass <em>der EU-Beitritt das zentrale strategische Ziel der Ukraine bleibt<\/em>, der Zeitplan jedoch sowohl durch politische als auch durch prozedurale Realit\u00e4ten begrenzt ist. Er verwies auf zunehmende Diskussionen dar\u00fcber, den EU-Erweiterungsrahmen an die aktuelle Sicherheitslage anzupassen, unter anderem durch ein m\u00f6gliches Modell der <em>\u201eschrittweise Integration\u201c<\/em>.
