In Br\u00fcssel stellte Marianna Fakhurdinova, Koordinatorin des EU-Ukraine-Partnerschaftsprogramms beim Transatlantic Dialogue Center (TDC), im Rahmen einer Diskussion beim European Policy Centre die j\u00fcngste Studie von TDC vor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fakhurdinova erl\u00e4uterte, wie das neue SAFE-Instrument der EU (150 Mrd. Euro an Darlehen f\u00fcr Verteidigungsbeschaffung und -investitionen) f\u00fcr die Ukraine sowohl Chancen als auch Herausforderungen mit sich bringen k\u00f6nnte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zentrale Punkte der Pr\u00e4sentation:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die EU-Mitgliedstaaten und bestehende Mechanismen wie EPF und PURL k\u00f6nnen die milit\u00e4rische Unterst\u00fctzung der USA nicht vollst\u00e4ndig ersetzen \u2013 in den Jahren 2022\u20132025 leisteten sowohl die USA als auch die EU jeweils rund 65 Mrd. US-Dollar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SAFE erm\u00f6glicht der Ukraine eine Beteiligung als Unterauftragnehmerin f\u00fcr EU-Mitgliedstaaten oder im Rahmen von Joint Ventures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die ukrainische Verteidigungsindustrie verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber eine j\u00e4hrliche Produktionskapazit\u00e4t von 35 Mrd. US-Dollar, jedoch wurden 2024 lediglich 10 Mrd. US-Dollar finanziert. SAFE-Darlehen k\u00f6nnten helfen, diese L\u00fccke zu schlie\u00dfen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

St\u00e4rkung der ukrainischen Verteidigungsindustrie kommt auch Europa durch kosteneffiziente Produktion, gefechtserprobte Technologien, schnelle Skalierbarkeit und Innovationskraft zugute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fakhurdinova betonte, dass die Unterst\u00fctzung der ukrainischen Verteidigungsindustrie nicht nur eine Frage des \u00dcberlebens der Ukraine sei, sondern auch der langfristigen Sicherheit und Resilienz Europas diene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
