In einem neuen Meinungsbeitrag f\u00fcr The Wall Street Journal<\/em>analysiert Maksym Skrypchenko, Pr\u00e4sident des Transatlantic Dialogue Center, wie sich die diplomatische Strategie der Ukraine als Reaktion auf die Ver\u00e4nderungen in der US-F\u00fchrung und den zunehmenden Druck auf einen schnellen Friedensschluss entwickelt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nach der R\u00fcckkehr von Donald Trump ins Wei\u00dfe Haus mussten die ukrainischen Beamten ihre Herangehensweise neu bewerten. Anfangs schlecht vorbereitet auf Trumps au\u00dfenpolitischen Stil passte sich Kyjiw allm\u00e4hlich an und erkannte, dass die neue Administration eine schnelle L\u00f6sung \u00fcber ein tieferes Engagement mit den Ursachen des russischen Krieges stellt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mit der Unterst\u00fctzung europ\u00e4ischer Diplomaten hat die Ukraine eine Strategie der Einbindung entwickelt: offen f\u00fcr Frieden bleiben, w\u00e4hrend Russland f\u00fcr das Scheitern der Verhandlungen verantwortlich gemacht wird. Doch dieser Ansatz birgt Risiken. Die USA k\u00f6nnten die Ukraine zu Zugest\u00e4ndnissen dr\u00e4ngen, insbesondere wenn Washington gleichzeitig geopolitische Bedenken mit Russland und dem Iran jongliert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eine k\u00fcrzlich durchgef\u00fchrte Umfrage zeigt, dass 67 % der Amerikaner, darunter 65 % der Republikaner, die Fortsetzung der Hilfe f\u00fcr die Ukraine bis zum Ende des Krieges unterst\u00fctzen \u2013 was Kyjiw einen gewissen Hebel verschafft. Dennoch steigt der Druck: Z\u00f6gert die Ukraine zu lange, k\u00f6nnte sie als Hindernis f\u00fcr den Frieden angesehen werden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wie Skrypchenko feststellt, ist die Herausforderung der Ukraine inzwischen nicht nur milit\u00e4risch, sondern auch das Navigieren in einem komplexen diplomatischen Spiel mit Agilit\u00e4t, ohne die wichtige westliche Unterst\u00fctzung zu verlieren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
